Taxable Securities
Crews & Associates, Inc. is an active participant in taxable government and agency securities. Our firm maintains a substantial involvement with the distributions of FNMA, FHLB, FHLMC, and SLMA securities. Crews & Associates enters bids directly on Treasury auctions in the primary market and trades continuously in the secondary market providing both investment opportunities and liquidity. Trade sizes range from just a few hundred dollars to as much as $100 million. U.S. Treasury "strips" together with many other Agency "zero coupon" instruments are traded for virtually any amount. Our firm is also active in the area of alternate money market products for investors with a shorter-term perspective. These product lines include commercial paper, bankers' acceptances, certificates of deposit, Federal Agency discount, and medium-term notes. The secondary market creates an abundant source of these offerings. Crews & Associates has daily access to the inventories of major issuers and underwriters nationwide. In addition, our firm has the ability to deal directly with local banks, Agency fiscal agents and commercial paper issuers like General Electric, GMAC, Ford Motor Credit, IBM, Chevron, and Sears to write specific investments tailored to an individual customer's need.
